Hello to you listening in Penobscot, Maine!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Time Out Tuesday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

I’ve been curious of late wondering just who is me? Maybe you’re curious about you, too. I can’t answer the question for either of us; but I can offer us something delicious to ponder that might guide us to what we seek.

I Am Not I

I am not I.

                  I am this one

walking beside me whom I do not see,

whom at times I manage to visit,

and whom at other times I forget;

who remains calm and silent while I talk,

and forgives, gently, when I hate,

who walks where I am not,

who will remain standing when I die.

Question: Who else might you be when you leave behind “I”?
