Hello to you listening in Woodinville, Washington!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga.

We are not used to people of advanced years, seniors, elders, crones, old folks becoming prolific in the waning years of their lives. And yet, witness recently departed 81 year old musician David Crosby who in 2014, when he was 72 years of age released his first solo album in 21 years, “Croz,” which debuted in the Billboard Top 40. Following that Mr. Crosby released five solo albums, most recently “For Free” in 2021 at the age of 79. He was quoted in 2019 saying that his late-in-life resurgence was sparked by his realization that “at this stage, you don’t know if you’ve got two weeks or 10 years,” adding, “Really what matters is what you do with whatever time you have.”

As I get ready to celebrate my Happy Continuation Day on February 4th I know I’ve not yet earned Mr. Crosby’s advanced age nor resurgence of prolific output; however, today I am doing what matters because I don’t know how much time I have. What matters? I help people and organizations find the words they don’t know they have to tell the story that communicates their values, purpose and vision.

I cannot say I do change the world; but I cannot say I don’t.
