Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga.  

Tucked away in an unremarkable business park in Ann Arbor, Michigan is a warehouse of hundreds of thousands of failed products. One of each. Think of it as a graveyard for stuff that just didn’t make it. All those failures.

But, the Mother of Invention knows failure holds promise for beginning anew. The Museum of Failed Products is open to marketing clients who are privileged to troll the vast shelves of failed products scoping out where the competition bottomed out because of poor design, marketing, experimentation, or research. Now they are ready to transform failure into fulfillment!  

People are no different. We’re taught not to fail and so when we do fail we feel like we’ve failed. Rather, if we take the approach of “Fall Down 7 - Get Up 8" we can learn from our failures and setbacks to begin anew with our hard-won awareness. This is the place where you re-write the narrative. This is the place where the story you tell will resonate with listeners. Why? We are drawn to stories of courage like filings to a magnet.
