Hello to you listening in Chanhassen, Minnesota!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds (and a bit more for you) for Wednesdays on Whidbey with your host, Diane Wyzga.

I heard the podcast guest say: I’m a yoga instructor; not a techie type. I teach in person. I don’t know how to - nor do I want to - create an online yoga course. I just didn’t want to work that hard.

That’s me! I shine in person-to-person settings. The sorcery of stories comes alive when people are face-to-face, collaborating in a physical space. I just couldn’t see how to translate that collective magic to the Zoom Room screen.

And then I heard the podcast guest say: I learned that I was standing in my own way. COVID would be here for a long while. After that we can expect a new way of being in the world. I figured I better figure out the online process or get left behind.

I knew she was talking to me. I was standing in my own way - I had to step aside or get left behind. I’m not a tech person but heck! I’m an incest survivor. I walked across Spain. I figured out what to do after my ex’s affair and then walking away to his next wife. What’s a little online course or three! Bring it on! I can learn to do this for you.

Meanwhile, when you hear someone say something you know you need to hear, pay attention! This is the power of sharing your story - with your vulnerability.

I’m not perfect.  I don’t have all the answers; but I do know how to help you find the words you didn’t know you had to get to the heart of your message and the message of your heart so you can create the change, dent, shift, impact, or ruckus you want to see and be.
