Hello to you listening in Stanwood, Washington!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga.

Over a decade of litigation consulting across the US taught me a great deal about the differences in the regional populations of people who made up our pre-trial focus groups. To work together in an unfamiliar city or town I chose to learn something wonderful, something unexpected about the place I was going to. It’s also my favorite performance secret.

Practical Tip: Ask yourself: What uniquely wonderful aspect might set this group of people, this audience, apart from the last group or the one before that? Learn at least one memorable thing about this audience that is different from your last audience. Something special that distinguishes one from the other. Hold it close to you when you are in front of them. Why? It makes them special to you, folks you are getting to know. Your story, speech or performance becomes a gift to them. You are no longer performing to your audience; you are performing with them.

You’re invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, follow, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time!
