As I was deciding whether to put a certain book on hold at the library I read this review: “... though many things happen to the characters and the third person point of view provides ample room for all their inner thoughts, the reader cares not at all about any of them. I cannot put my finger on it, but not one of them stands out as real or fleshed out or interesting at all. Even if I wanted to find out what happens, it’s a very dull reading experience."
