Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday.

Contrary to certain posts fluttering around certain social media platforms, butterflies can see their own wings.

Butterflies have special eyes: single and compound! Not only can they see their own wings, they have a 360 degree view, can see individual items as well as colored objects. For an insect these gracious creatures can see a distance of about 12 feet. Imagine that when next you consider the migrations of butterflies over hundreds of miles.

Why do I mention this? Because people often assume things about us - things that might be incorrect, inaccurate or downright wrong. As the saying goes, “Write your own story or one will be provided for you.”

Story Prompt: This is your creative opportunity to set the record straight about an element of your story that was written for you. How will you change it? Write that story!  

Practical Tip: The magic of stories is also in the sharing. If you wish share your story with someone or something.   All that matters is you have a story.
