The internet in India is 75% men and 25% of women, making India's digital gender gap the widest in the world. It's clearly reflected by how women get portrayed in this content and what kind of opportunities really come their way. If you go on TV, the typical "Saas Bahu" show will have you believe that all women really want to do is serve their husbands or scheme against other women and if we watch the typical comedy show it will portray women as a prop for male humour.

Thankfully there are some women creators online who have really taken matters in their own hands to drive a change in this mindset. In this episode, we talk to two wonderful women who are leading this charge and changing the landscape for female creators.

First up, Anisha Dixit who is better known as 'Rickshawali' talks about how she became a comedy creator. We'll also talk to Tracy Dsouza, the boss lady behind Girliyapa, an all-women team that has created its own brand of very accessible humour balanced with hard-hitting satire. Tracy talks about the courage and conviction to be a woman boss in entertainment. We will also dig deeper into how they work with brands, how their teams perceive them as women leaders and what they think is going to be the future for women creators in India.
