Joyce Dorado, Ph.D., is Co-Founder and Director of UCSF Healthy Environments and Response to Trauma in Schools (HEARTS), an award-winning program that promotes school success for students who have experienced complex trauma by creating more trauma-sensitive school environments. She is an Associate Clinical Professor at Child and Adolescent Services (CAS). Dr. Barbara Sorrels is the Director of the Institute for Childhood Education. She has worked with children in a variety of capacities for over 40 years. Mr. Ben Gilpin is a relationship driven educator with a passion for innovation. Ben is currently serving as an elementary principal in Michigan. He is involved with classroomcribs.com and personalized learning initiatives with the Michigan Department of Education.
