The latest episode of The Sun Devil Source Report Podcast continues an offseason series that is a little different from our normal podcasts. We are providing our audience with a bit of a treat in the form of interviews that Sun Devil Source publisher Chris Karpman conducted with Arizona State assistant coaches.

The eighth episode of this series is from Karpman's recent conversation with ASU first-year offensive coordinator Zak Hill. Hill, who is implementing a new offensive scheme for the Sun Devils, takes over the ASU offense led by sophomore quarterback Jayden Daniels. He spent the previous four seasons with Boise State as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Hill joined Boise State after leaving Hawaii, where he was named offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in December 2015. Prior to that, Hill served as passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Eastern Washington for seven seasons from 2009 to 2015. Hill was a record-breaking quarterback at Central Washington from 1999 to 2003. He broke more than 20 league records and passed for 8,882 career yards and 76 touchdowns while completing 60.2 percent of his passes.

In this podcast, Hill explains the offensive philosophy that he brings to Tempe and gives his perspective on the personnel he will be working with in his first season, including some details on Daniels and the challenges ahead for the team’s skill players, particularly its wide receivers.
