Art @ The Thomas is an art space that fosters community
engagement in art conversation, critique, and creative
expression. The gallery is a temporary project space
supported by the generosity of Renew Australia, Renew
Fitzroy Street Project and the City of Port Philip. The
Gallery presents opportunities for local artists to engage
with local community, grow their audience and patronage
and exhibit their work.
In our first exhibition, Identity & Place, Robert Lee Davis,
Rebecca Garfield, Cinda Manins, Tanya Samuel, Tina
Wilkins and Cassie Williams explore relationship to place,
time and identity through the mediums of oil, acrylic,
paper, ceramic and collage.
Art @ The Thomas would like to acknowledge the Boon
Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional
custodians of the land, on which we work and live, and
recognise their continuing connection to land, water, and
community. We pay respect to Elders past, present, and
emerging.
