Patrick Conlon is your quintessential New Yorker. He’s a smart talking, street walking surfer, artist, marketer, and former owner of the legendary Epstein’s Bar in the lower east side. He’s as OG Rockaway as they get. He grew up in the 80’s on a steady diet of surfing the Rocks and sneaking into punk shows. Pat’s lived many lives. He chased his surf passion and went to university at USC, started an industry surf zine, came back to NYC and worked as an editor at Spin during its heyday. He went on to be a marketing person for some of the major brands at their peak, such as, Quiksilver, Volcom, Vans, Supra & Kr3w apparel. He’s worked for incredible artists such as Tom Sach’s and is now producing his own iconic work. Pat is quick witted, charming, and charismatic. He’s always got a smart response with a twist of humor. We cover a lot of ground in this episode. So hold on because it’s a zig zagging ride that tells a story of one of Rockaways most beloved surfers. We hope you enjoy…
