In a down-to-the-wire KCBS Team of the Year battle, Jordan Kirkpatrick and Janky Leg BBQ came through in clutch fashion. Needing a Grand Championship on the season’s final weekend to leapfrog Brad Leighninger and Gettin’ Basted, that’s exactly what Janky Leg accomplished on Day 1 of Boo-B-Que in Oak Grove, Missouri. Adding an RGC on Day 2, Jordan came away with his first Team of the Year and denied Gettin’ Basted an unprecedented fourth. We talk it over with Jordan on Episode 236 of the Tailgate Guys BBQ Podcast and find out his thoughts on the stress of a title chase, future BBQ plans and who exactly is “Teen Wolf” and his role in Janky Leg’s success.
