On today's episode, we wanted to be proactive in having a broader conversation around LQBTQIA+ people in sports culture. Fortunately, the return of Brittney Griner to the WNBA provides us a unique opportunity to discuss acceptance, inclusion and love for publicly LQBTQIA+ people in the WNBA, cultural changes in Griner's 10 year career. Plus, for the first time I can remember, a black, lesbian, non-gender conforming woman is revered as a hero after spending over 300 days in a Russian Penal Colony as a Prisoner of War, and this provides a unique opportunity to facilitate change around the way we perceive gender identity and sexual orientation within sports culture
