On today's episode, I wanted to take the time to acknowledge the dozens of 2022 FIFA World Cup controversies, as listed on this Wikipedia story and take the time to discuss one in particular: The criminalization of LGBTQIA+ people's under Qatar's Sharia Law. We also discuss the specific cases of protests by journalists, athletes and ally's being met with resistance by FIFA and the Qatari Government. Finally, a call to action for ways to effectuate a level of change, even in countries halfway across the world from Qatar, Iran, or Saudi Arabia.
