Bill Brown spent nearly 40 years coaching college basketball at both the Division I and Division III levels, with 29 of those years as a head coach.  He was the head coach at Wittenberg University for 23 seasons.  He retired in 2016 and remains the longest tenured and most successful head coach in the history of Wittenberg University, which just happens to be the winningest program in the history of Division III basketball.  During his time at Witt, Coach Brown led his teams to 12 NCAA tournaments, 4 Elite Eight appearances and 2 Final Fours.  Coach Brown retired with an overall career record of 543-266 (483-167 at Wittenberg), and was inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame on May of 2018.  What does a guy do in retirement after that kind of career?  Wel, Bill Brown  has served as a volunteer assistant coach at Westfield High School in  Indianapolis for the past 4 years.  Why?  Because more than anything else, Bill Brown is a basketball lifer.  He loves hoops and values the chance to continue to give back to the game that has given him so very much!  Please enjoy my conversation with Bill Brown of Wittenberg University.
