Episode 40 - Kurt Goettemoeller - Head Basketball Coach Marion Local High School - a podcast by Jon Cook

Kurt Goettemoeller graduated from Marion Local High School in 1992.  He had played for legendary head coach Jack Albers.  After four years of college and choosing a career in education, he became a teacher at Minster High School.  He served as an assistant at both Marion Local with Keith Westrick and at Minster with longtime coach Mike Lee.  In 2011, Coach Goettemoeller was hired to be the head coach at his alma mater.  In his nine years at the helm, he has begun each and every year with a late start as the Flyer football team has competed in the state final all nine seasons.  Coach Goettemoeller discusses his journey in coaching, adapting to the annual late start with his team, coaching in the always tough Midwest Athletic Conference and winning the 2018 state championship while coaching his alma mater.  Please enjoy today's conversation with Kurt Goettemoeller of Marion Local High School.
