Episode 46 - David McWhinnie - Head Coach - Toledo Christian High School - a podcast by Jon Cook

David McWhinnie graduated from Toledo Christian in 1992 and after a four-year career as a soccer player, he graduated and returned to his alma mater.  Following a brief stint as an assistant then a short time working in the Chicago area, he was given the opportunity to return and become the co-head coach of the Eagles.  After three seasons,  Coach McWhinnie became to head coach to begin the 2001-2002 season.  During his 19 seasons at the helm, Toledo Christian Basketball has experienced remarkable success with a record of 321 wins  and 123 losses.  Coach McWhinnie discusses his journey with me, including the non-traditional route that brought him to coaching basketball, the influence of others on his journey and the joy of building the program at is alms mater, including coaching his own son.  Please enjoy my conversation with David McWhinnie of TOledo Christian High School.
