If you are a high school basketball coach in northwest Ohio it is likely that you know Dave Hirschy.  If you are a person, coach or otherwise, who enjoys being around engaging, genuine, sincere, passionate, energetic people, then you should get to know Dave Hirschy.  I hope this podcast helps accomplish that.  Dave and I met nearly 30 years ago working basketball camp at Ohio Northern University.  We share a passion for the game of basketball, and ONU as a college alma mater.  What we also share is a fairly odyssey-like journey in coaching, and like many people, our stories have some less than pleasant life events that have shaped us in our own unique way.  In today's episode Dave Hirschy shares the story of his coaching journey and he is candid about how life can sometimes happen in a way that makes the game we are passionate about into something that is almost unimportant.  I recorded this podcast with Dave because he is my friend.  I hope you'll listen because Dave is a terrific person, with a great story, who also happens to be one of the biggest hoops junkies on planet Earth!  Please enjoy my conversation with Coach Dave Hirschy of Willard High School (Willard, Ohio).
