Talking Tastebuds with Aja Barber - a podcast by Venetia La Manna
from 2019-10-22T03:00
Aja Barber is a writer, stylist and slow fashion advocate. Her voice is one of the most impactful in the sustainable space and I couldn’t be happier to have her on the show this week.
We examine food as privilege and how colonisation affected and still impacts indigenous communities and Aja shares her advice on how she thinks we should be re-framing the conversation around veganism. We also discuss white privilege, sustainable fashion, her frustrations with influencers preaching ‘sustainability’ and taking money from fast fashion brands at the same time, inclusivity in fashion and cultural appropriation.
