In Episode #105, I am talking with Tom Bunn.

 

A licensed therapist and retired airline captain. He has worked for fearful fliers for over 35 years, and in that time, developed an effective way to keep his clients from having a panic attack on the plane. Studies have shown over 80% of his clients become completely free of panic when flying. As a side effect, they become free of panic on the ground as well. This was important because the therapy most often used from panic, CBT, ends panic in only 16% of clients treated with it. That led him to write Panic Free: The 10-Day Program to End Panic, Anxiety, and Claustrophobia. This book focused to ending panic in elevators, on bridges, in tunnels, high places, and MRIs. Recently, he supplemented that book with a workbook aimed specifically at pandemic-related issues.
