>>> Today’s theme: ??The Science of Lying
The concept of lying, though never viewed positively through a modern perspective, actually seems to be a very important and functional part of our human ontological and epistemological development: something essential for who we are today.

Things such as Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, ??????, are all collective social fictions that we use. We often engage in them with our children and continue the spread of them through culture, stories, and such forth.
Should we? Are they good or bad?

>>> The Conversationalist with science writer Mark Zastrow
“There are lots of examples of scientists playing April Fool’s pranks—like CERN announcing they discovered the Force and Nature publishing an article about how climate change could bring back dragons…
…we’re always skeptical of news stories on April Fool’s Day, but I’d encourage people to have healthy skepticism of all science stories, all the time.”

>>> A Few Minutes with Amos
A cleansing process, to purge the mind and spirit of negativity, by ranting about an injustice seen in the world during the week.
