Today’s theme: History of War

Today marks the 67th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War. A conflict that has long and complicated origins and still divides the country today.

Humans love telling stories. And war is one of the stories that we love telling. These stories are very compelling: stories of heroism, stories of brother against brother in the case of civil wars, and in most cases, stories of good ultimately conquering evil. Some would suggest that the story of the world is the story of war. History often traces events and eras according to the wars of the time. Of course, we all want peace, but it is a concept that doesn’t get written about nearly as much as war.
