Lay Kou - Southland Elementary - a podcast by KSL News Radio

This week's teacher feature award goes to Ley Kou a teacher at Southland Elementary in Riverton. Nominated by a parent who's had multiple students in Ms. Kou's classes over the years. Ms. Kou goes above and beyond, even bringing food to the family home of the students when she found out a couple of the students were sick. She says the recognition from the parents is the best reward she could possibly get.

Ms. Kou receives a special recognition award from Zions Bank, an overnight stay at the Anniversary Inn, dinner for two at the Roof Restaurant downtown, and two season passes to the new Hale Center Theater. At the end of the year, one lucky teacher will win the lease of a new car provided by Burt Bros. Tire and Service.
