Is the word of Christ dwelling in your richly? There are a lot of concerns about money, inflation, debt and the economy. What transcends all of this is that you can be rich as the words of Jesus make a home in your life. Christ’s words affect what we talk about, what we eat, what we wear, what we watch, and what we listen to. And they affect our relationships. When Jesus’ words make a home in our lives they affect our neighbours, particularly those in the household of God. Christ’s words living in us will help us to teach one another not only the truth, but also with the right tone. We don’t want to just be a “sage on the stage,” but help people to discover Christ’s words for themselves. Christ’s words will help us to correct one another in a spirit that is not fault-finding and nit-picky, but restorative. This is what we will learn from Colossians 3:16 and discover riches that will last for all eternity.
