The 8BA Podcast is a casual talk show where we discuss geeky pop culture and relay some of our favorite news of the past week.

QUICKFIRE NEWS

Steam Deck. Valve announced a portable handheld gaming console for Steam from $399-649.

Netflix. Streaming company hired Mike Verdu (formerly of EA and Facebook) to head up a new gaming division. This news comes along with the loss of 400k subscribers in the US and Canada.

Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild. Animated feature film premieres August 12 on Netflix.

Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons. Unannounced D&D book will focus on dragons!

Wild Beyond the Witchlight. Feywild adventure will feature Domains of Delight, opportunities for characters to finish the adventure without resorting to combat, and displacer kittens.

Strixhaven. The campaign setting will include how to run a magical school campaign, noncombat systems to enhance roleplay, and will NOT include the subclasses featured in the recent UA.

Nerds. D&D is partnering with Nerds for specially packaged boxes of candy that will contain custom D&D adventures.
