Main idea: Jesus’s work on the cross made salvation possible for all generations: past, present, & future.

Before the advent of Christ, faith was placed in the promised Messiah (1 Peter 1:10-12; Genesis 15:6; Romans 4:22-25).

After the advent to today, faith is placed in the person of Christ (1 Peter 1:6-9; John 3:16).

Salvation through Christ is guaranteed for all time (1 Peter 1:3-5; Hebrews 8:1-6).
