Effective in 1993, New Japan Pro Wrestling left the National Wrestling Alliance (along with WCW). This left the NWA without a cornerstone promotion to magnify its World Champions. And despite the connection to New Japan, the NWA found connections in the Far East that would help to promote the NWA Brand and strengthen its claim to be the World's Largest Sanctioning Body of Professional Wrestling.  On this podcast, we examine the relationship that the NWA had with wrestling promotions from Japan and speak about exactly where NWA World Champions would spend time in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Since 1995, the NWA would have champions represented by wrestling promotions like Wrestle Yume Factory, IWA Japan, UFO, Zero One Fighting Athlete, and Diamond Star Wrestling.
Every Tuesday at 5 pm Eastern, 2 pm Pacific we do a live stream at YouTube.com/TheAllianceBlog to discuss News and Information for the National Wrestling Alliance
