Alistair brings Mousse to Greenacres as she’s too much of a handful to have around the vet practice. Jazzer isn’t pleased, he’d hoped Greenacres would be his and Tracy’s love nest but Tracy can’t resist the dog’s cuteness. Wary Alistair advises Tracy to stand back when he opens Mousse’s crate. But when Mousse heads straight to Tracy for attention, it’s clear confirmation for Jazzer that the only person Mousse doesn’t like is Alistair.
Lilian chases up Jakob for his assessment on Double Bill but Jakob won’t be rushed. Meanwhile Denise asks him about his impending review with Lovell James and he curtly brushes her off. Later, when she tries again to broker Jakob’s meeting with Don James, Jakob – annoyed about being interrupted – is rude in his replies once again. Denise pours out her frustrations of working with Jakob and tells him she’s quitting her job immediately due to his terrible manners.
Justin has the wind in his sails with his vision of owning a yacht, and when Lilian tries to talk him down he tells her not diminish her expertise and interests. When they meet Nancy, the broker, she turns out to know Lilian from her time in Guernsey. In fact she remembers quite a lot about her, including her nickname ‘Lighthouse Lil’. With Justin out of earshot, Lilian requests that Nancy doesn’t go into any detail of her last time on the water that ended in disaster. Nancy promises not to say a single word.
