What happens when you are staring down the barrel of an empty nest. When we reach middle age and are finding extra time and space, it can be terrifying. Our purpose can feel like it got dropped off the edge of a cliff, and we can feel naked without that old purpose. But this gift of time and space allows us to look inward, and for some of us, its the first time that we turn our attention inward. It becomes this holy practice of discovering ourselves. What do we love, and how can we contribute to the world in a whole new way!
