Hello Advocates! On this episode, we are joined by Retired professional athlete, Sierra Jones. Sierra is currently a head girls basketball coach at Mae Jemison High School, an Author of her book "Have faith like Noah", and CEO of her nonprofit, Redeemed INC. Jones attended Belmont University where her four years were the worst and best four years of her college career, but went on to play professionally in Spain before retiring and pursuing a bigger purpose.  Suffering depression, verbal abuse, and obstacles that almost got her out of the game, Sierra also talks about the consequences of verbal abuse of athletes, the importance of the hiring process for coaches, how forgiveness healed her, her nonprofit Redeemed and how it is helping serve impoverished families who lack proper nutrition, have limited access to exercise regimens, and educational support by providing healthy foods, access to fitness activities, and complimentary tutoring to Reform, Repair, and Restore lives in the community.
