Welcome to Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site! On this episode, we look back at the Etch-A-Sketch, the popular toy of the 1960s and 70s. Long before personal gaming devices which involved electronics became common place, the Etch-A-Sketch, powered by your imagination, would provide just as many hours of fun and entertainment as any modern device. Next we look at touch-tone telephones. Do you remember the old rotary phones, before the push-button touch-tone phone became common place? If so, you recall the days when touch-tone service from the phone company was something you paid extra for, and the idea of pushing 1 for whatever it might be, had not been thought of yet. We recall how this service became the standard for phone service in the United States, and how those touch-tone phones were placed in the hands of millions of Americans. Following this we look at Second Bananas, the actors and characters in your favorite TV show who were not billed as the stars, but gained a wide following because they became just as popular, if not more so, than the lead characters. Finally we look back at some notables whom we lost in the world of entertainment in late December 2012 through early 2013. Come join the party line at Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site!
