This episode of Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site marks our fifth anniversary of being with you and sharing memories of our early years. We thank our listeners for being with us these past five years, and we have many more shows planned that are coming up so please stay with us for more memories from the past. On the second half of our show, we remember Richard C, Hottelet who passed away in December of 2014. He was a CBS broadcast journalist for many years from the 1940s to the 1970s. Mr. Hottelet was the last of the "Murrow Boys", the elite group of broadcast journalists assembled by Edward R. Murrow during World War II. We look back at his career and at the way news was reported in earlier times when facts and information were more important than flashy show biz. Our Retro-Commercial is for Golden Fluffo brand shortening, with the late Mike Wallace telling us about this shortening and the delicious pies it would make. Thanks for being with us on Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site on the Galaxy Nostalgia Network!
