What does the term "Pirate Radio" mean to you? On this edition of Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site, Mike tells us all we need to know about Pirate Radio stations. What they were, how they operated, and what they did. Mike recalls his experiences with Pirate Radio, and how some of these operations, although not legal, helped young people interested in radio broadcasting to hone their skills. Ian Rose tries to "Get the Red Out", as he remembers HUAC, The House Un-American Activities Committee. This committee was charged with trying to route out communists in this country. Many celebrities and well-known individuals were marked as communists and subversives in the era of the 50s, when anti-communist investigations were at their peak. In addition, Ian recalls other committees of the past that investigated suspect groups in the past. Our Retro-Commercial is for Chevrolet from the 1950s. Join us on Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site!
