It's summertime 2013 here at Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site and on this episode Smitty and Mike look back to many years ago and remember the different ways we stayed cool on those blistering hot days. From evaporative coolers, to the community swimming pool to buying ice cream from the ice cream man, to running through the sprinklers, most people didn't have air conditioning and so relied on some of these ways and more to cool off back in the day. As kids, we have vivid memories of all of these different things we did. The second half of the show, we recall the music of The Fifth Dimension, and how many of their hits in the late 60s reflected and highlighted the summertime season. Mike B shares with us his memories of how the music of The Fifth Dimension brings back memories of many summers of long ago. Maybe some of these tunes will bring back memories of your summers past. Our Retro-Commercial is for Schaefer Beer featuring Lena Horne. Join us as we cool off here at Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site!
