Bob's insight into religion, pop culture, and media helps us to find out how these classic motion pictures were filmed, how they were received in that time period, and how they fit into the pop culture of their day. These movies are epics not only because of their subject matter, but also because they were filmed in color, stereophonic sound, and wide screen. These motion pictures featured many top stars of the day, and included dazzling special effects, in an era when studios were competing with the onset of television.
