Kolkata-born, Mumbai-based Anirban Dasgupta is a stand-up comedian and writer with a penchant for storytelling.
Since leaving behind his career as a corporate salesman, Anirban has headlined at major comedy clubs and festivals around India. With jokes, puns and sketches based on stories from his personal life, Anirban talks about his inter-community marriage, corporate life, politics (being Bengali), social media and various current affairs. In 2018 he released his first special “Take It Easy” on Amazon Prime Video which received a positive response overall. Following this, he co-wrote and co-created Afsos, a first-of-it black comedy thriller series on Amazon Prime Video that was released in 2020 to rave reviews.
