Welcome to the Best is Yet to Come with Pastor Brad Morgan. This week Pastor Brad continues teaching on "Elijah The Prophet."

Elijah's story begins in 1 Kings 17 when he proclaimed, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”

Elijah received unusual provision from unlikely sources, namely Ravens - an unclean bird.  

God commanded Elijah to “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.” The widow had no idea that she was going to be serving Elijah, or that by doing so, God would change her life and the lives of many around her. She thought she only had enough for one meal and was going to die, but Elijah told her "do not fear" and to make some food for him and then for herself.

Elijah went on to confront the wicked ruler Ahab, and the false prophets (1 Kings 18:30-40 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+kings+18%3A30-40&version=NKJV).

Pastor Brad continues teaching about the end of the drought (1 Kings 18:41-46 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+kings+18%3A41-46&version=NKJV).

The rain that came sent a refreshing rain which provided a supernatural strength to the people.
