Pastor Brad begins by continuing the teaching of God's calling for David in 1 Samual. It took David a long time (some say 13 years) to realize his calling to be King of Israel. Through this time he went through many trials and struggles. But also, through it all he kept relationship with and depended on God. David poured out his soul to the Lord. In 1 Samual 30:8 it says, "So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

We strengthen ourselves through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jeremiah 33:3 says, "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’"

God was always telling David that it is going to work! God will deliver you from failure and mistakes if you do your part and pursue. pursue and you will recover all.
