Welcome to the Best is Yet to Come with Pastor Brad Morgan. This week's message is concerning the Prophet Elijah.  Pastor Brad begins his teaching in 1 Kings 17-18 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+kings+17-18&version=NKJV).

It says in James that Elijah was a man with a nature like ours. God uses people that are working on things in their lives, that are not perfect. There was a humanity to Elijah. God takes us all through a process.

Elijah spoke that there was not going to be any rain in the area. It was interesting that Elijah spoke this as the people were worshiping a god of weather. Elijah had to leave the area and went through some unusual circumstances -- but God provided. Sometimes God uses illogical things to provide for you. In Elijah's instance, he was fed by an unclean bird, a raven. But he obeyed the word of God. "He went and did according to the word of the Lord."

God eventually sent him to a widow to provide for his needs. The widow's son became ill and died, and the widow doubted whether Elijah could save the child. But God, through Elijah brought the child back to life. This is the story of ressurection that happens when you walk with and honor God.

We serve a faithful God who is faithful to His promises.
