Welcome to the Best is Yet to Come with Pastor Brad Morgan. This week's message is continuation of messages on the Prophet Elijah. God used Elijah to touch and bring change to the nation of Israel. Pator Brad continues teaching from 1 kings 19:5-21 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+kings+19%3A5-21&version=NKJV). Elijah was weary from a prolonged battle in his life. God sent and angel to him. God in His mercy came to Elijah, and the angel touched him. God told him to get up for his new assigment. Elijah was fed and told to get up.

God knows when you are going through a hard season and He reminds you to get up and eat! Deuteronomy 28:47 says, "...Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, ..." It is important that we serve God with joy and gladness. In other words, the things I called you do, you did them, but you were not willing. Don't just do for God as a matter of obligation and obedience, but serve God out of joy. Elijah was fed and supernaturally the feeding lasted him for 40 days.

Elijah felt like he was the only prophet, the only one in Israel that was doing right. But God questioned him and spoke to him in a small voice and encouraged him.

God loves you unconditionally, not based upon your performance. Sometimes we need God to speak to us, and speak quickly. God spoke to Elijah and told him exactly what to do to move onto his next assignment. God assured Elijah that he was not the only one. There are many people that are serving God. What seems like the end of the road, might just be a place of new beginnings!
