Welcome to the Best is Yet to Come with Pastor Brad Morgan. This week's message is the first in a series on the Prophet Elisha. Elisha had walked with and been following and serving the Prophet Elisha for 7-8 years. Elisha was a wealthy man before God gave him a calling. He gave the things of the world up to follow God's calling.

In the Old Testament it often said when people died, they were, "full of days." They were full of what God had and the plan of God that they walked out.

Pastor Brad continues teaching from 2 Kings 2:1-17 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+kings+2%3A1-17&version=NKJV). The Lord was about to take up Elijah to Heaven and this would be their last journey together. Elijah asked Elisha what he may do for him before God takes him away. Elisha asked for a hard thing, he wanted a double portion of what God had given Elijah. 

After Elijah was taken up in a whirlwind, Elisha became no more the one following the leader, he was the leader. God was making a transition in Elisha's life. God was giving Elisha double - more than he had before.
