Welcome to the Best is Yet to Come with Pastor Brad Morgan. The title of this week's message is Ziklag the Place of the Press.

David had received a prophetic word from Samuel that he would be king. David was the 8th son, which was unusual, God said, "man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart." No One saw a king in David but God.

1 Samual 27 says: "And David said in his heart, “Now I shall perish someday by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape to the land of the Philistines; and Saul will [a]despair of me, to seek me anymore in any part of Israel. So I shall escape out of his hand.” David was having some self pity here. David had decided to go from a comfortable place to a comfortable place.

David fled because he was tired of fighting. The devil is a liar, and David didn't take the road of faith. 1 Samual 30:1-8 shows that David's decision was going to be proved by God. (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Samuel+30%3A1-8&version=NKJV).

David went back to what God had motivated him with, and that made him strong. David relied on the Holy Spirit which lives inside of us, our counselor and comforter. John 16:13, "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."

The Holy Spirit will show you things to come. It will happen in the place of the press. Listen to the Holy Spirit.
