The suspense around who’ll form Maharashtra’s new government came to an end after a grueling month of drama, on 26 November. The Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance is all set to form the government in Maharashtra with Uddhav Thackeray as the state’s new Chief Minister.
 
Barely hours after the Supreme court ordered a floor test in Maharashtra, asking the BJP government to prove their majority in the Maharashtra assembly, both Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar stepped down from their posts, leaving the field wide open for the Sena-NCP-Congress combine.
