The two discuss Tye’s background and history in martial arts, opening a new business/gym amidst the covid pandemic and shutdowns, Tye's philosophy on integrating aspects of traditional martial arts / Kung Fu into combat sports such as Sanda (Chinese kickboxing), and Shuai Jiao (Chinese wrestling) especially in regards to practical fighting applications, competition and MMA. They also discuss the importance of fostering freedom/wanderlust in youth, Bokh (Inner Mongolian Wrestling), Tye’s background in training and competing in both traditional and combat arts, as well as his pathway into becoming a coach/instructor in Sanda and Shuai Jiao – which are more obscure arts in the US as of now…
