Welcome to the fifth edition of the #CharlotteIsCreative podcast. Today’s show is features hosts Tim Miner and Matt Olin talking with WFAE’s Nick de La Canal immediately following the May 12 Creative  Mornings Charlotte event at Warehouse 242.

As a mid-day newscaster at WFAE 90.7 FM, Charlotte’s NPR affiliate, Nick de La Canal is used to having to find disparate elements in a story and illustrating the relationships between them. That experience made him well-suited to speak on the Creative Mornings global theme of serendipity. A Charlotte native, Myers Park High School graduate and graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Nick helped WFAE earn an Edward R. Murrow award for their coverage of the Keith Lamont Scott shootings in September 2016.

Remember to RSVP to the next Creative Mornings Charlotte event Friday, June 2 at Warehouse 242, and featuring Charlotte artist Davida Galloway as the speaker on the global theme of survival. Register for this free event by visiting creativemornings.com/cities/clt at 9am, Monday, May 29.
