From jazz to tango with Pedro Giraudo - a podcast by Jennifer Pernia
from 2021-03-22T14:00
In this first episode of season two, I talked to Pedro Giraudo. Pedro is an Argentinian bassist, composer, arranger, and winner of a Latin Grammy for Best Tango Album. He began his musical studies at a very young age, but it wasn't until his teenage years, when he picked up an electric bass to play in a rock band, that he quickly fell in love with the instrument, and exploring other musical genres. From classical music to jazz, and tango, Pedro has led numerous bands, and ensembles, and played his music around the world. He has collaborated with music icons, such as Ruben Blades, Paquito D'Rivera, William Cepeda to name a few. And in 2018, his album Vigor Tanguero won a Latin Grammy for Best Tango Album.
