There's a great Seinfeld ep about adult friendships: "Male Unbonding" from Season 1. My take: if a friend alienates you after a birth then it wasn't meant to be. It's good to have both friends and acquaintances. We evolve and so does our community of friends.

@BrianLehrerKids r best way to make new frirends; u join groups bc of kids: baby& me groups, babysitter coops, school parent boards and groups, play dates s, soccer clubs, etc. Singles have fewer opportunities in new neighborhoods.
