BOA #115 - Journey into Joy! - a podcast by Dr. Stan Ott

Last week I tripped on a hose, discovered I had to redo a job because someone else dropped the ball, and I had to dig through ten boxes looking for a missing document.

Have you ever done a joy check? Especially when you are feeling a bit annoyed?

Consider this wonderful word the Apostle Paul writes directly after addressing a disagreement between two people, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.”

The key here is the place of joy is “in the Lord” and not in the circumstances of life.

Do a joy check. Just stop and consider how your spirit is doing and choose joy - in the Lord.

Remember that whatever your circumstances may be, the Lord who loves you is a very present help in time of trouble and loves you more than you love your next breath!

The joy of the Lord is your strength! Nehemiah 8:10
