In a very moving moment during the funeral of Tyre Nichols, his mother, RowVaughn Wells said she truly believed her son was sent on an assignment from God.

Indeed, all of have been “sent” to accomplish various tasks in life – some rather generic – encouraging the people God sends us – and some specific to our individual gifts and callings.

The Gospel of John wonderfully explains how Jesus was “sent” and in turn, that Jesus sends us to serve:

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work. John 4:34
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” John 20:21

See yourself as sent! Ask the Lord who loves you for the eyes to see and the heart to serve as God leads you!
